The 11th annual Arcata International Folk Dance Festival, sponsored by the Humboldt Folk Dancers, will take place this weekend.
The festival begins Friday with a potluck dinner and dance at 7 p.m. at the Bayside Grange, 2297 Jacoby Creek Road in Bayside.
On Saturday, there will be workshops throughout the day and an evening concert and dance party. The festival concludes with a Sunday brunch, dance review and sing-along.
Beginners are welcome and a partner is not needed. Singers and instrumentalists of all levels are invited.
