The Foggy Bottom Milk Run in Ferndale has long been a tradition at the Hydesville Elementary School.

For two months prior to the race, Mercedes Crispin — the coach and coordinator and first- and second-grade teacher, ran with the students to get them physically ready for the 2-mile team races. This year 68 students and parents participated in the race.

All of their work paid off as Hydesville School won first place in the Boys 10 and Under team and the Girls 10 and Under team, and second place in the Boys 11-14 team and Girls 11-14 team.
