Guy and Martha Sovereign of Eureka celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 1.

+ Guy Sovereign and Martha Pevey were married May 1, 1948, at the Salvation Army Church in Eureka. They are lifelong residents of Eureka. Their children are Connie Meisner and John Sovereign, both of Eureka. They have three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

+ Martha worked as a Postmaster, and is now retired. She currently spends time working with the Board of United Indian Health Services. Guy worked as a commercial fisherman, and is now retired. He is currently a chairperson on the Board of Indian Action Agency.
