The Morris Graves Museum of Art hosted their monthly Second Saturday Family Arts day event for youth and their families entitled “World Rhythms.”
The program featured a shadow puppet theater workshop by Sean Powers, and an art workshop with artist Lindsay Coats, who helped children create their very own traditional Japanese fan.
Shoshanna and the Ya Habbi Dance Company were also invited to bring their international style of dance. Belly-dancer Hadara Hana, left, performs a Spanish and Arabic fusion dance as audience members, back right to left, Zoe Osborn, Sue Sniado, Cole Brusca, and Lila Taylor watch.
The next Second Saturday Family Arts Day, “Summer of A.R.T.,” will be held June 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring Gamelan music and art from Indonesia.
