KMUD radio is currently accepting submissions for its 2008 Battle of the Rock Bands. The station encourages all punk, thrash, metal, alternative and classic rock bands to participate in this competition. The top six bands out of the total of submissions received will be invited to perform, compete and showcase their music live on stage at the Mateel Community Center in Redway.

Three engineering and recording prizes will be awarded: Rob Seifert Gage (credits include Perry Ferrel, Mike Watts, Koko Taylor, etc.), Dragon Fly Studios (home of the Grammy-winning Music for Little People recordings) and Two Street Music in Eureka with a state-of-the-art recording studio are all offering five hours of their services.

Submissions are open to Humboldt, Mendocino, Trinity and Del Norte county bands. Send three song demos to Lisa Luv, c/o KMUD Radio, P.O. Box 135 Redway, CA 95560.
