Photographer Tracy Dittes will be the featured artist in the Hart Gallery during June and July. Dittes is a Ferndale resident and her show features photographs taken in and around Ferndale. Photographs range from pastoral landscapes to close-up moments with her neighborhood cows and evening photos of the back alleys of Ferndale. Dittes said she is fascinated with capturing light on the land and is interested in sharing the beauty and peace she finds representative of Humboldt County life.

Returning to photography after a serious car accident in March 2007, Dittes said this show is a celebration of her life in this community, sharing the beauty county residents are surrounded by daily and often overlook.

The show is co-sponsored by Wachovia Securities/AG Edwards, which will be hosting the opening night artist reception. “Wachovia Securities is pleased to be supporting this developing artist as she furthers her personal style and approach to photography,” Ferndale branch Manager Laura Hussey said.

Join Wachovia Securities/AG Edwards and the Hart Gallery in an opening night reception for the artist on May 24 from 6:30-8 p.m. The gallery is located in the box office of the Ferndale Repertory Theatre, 447 Main St., Ferndale.
