Ten local baseball and softball high school teams have been invited to the North Coast Section playoffs.

In baseball, Arcata has a first-round bye and will host the winner of Sir Francis Drake and Tamalpais at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Arcata Ball Park and Del Norte will play Terra Linda in San Rafael at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the first round of the Class 2A Redwood Empire bracket.

Eureka will be on the road in the first round against Sonoma Valley in Sonoma at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Class 3A Redwood Empire baseball bracket.

Ferndale will host Potter Valley at 4 p.m. Wednesday and Hoopa will host the Bay School of San Francisco at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Class B bracket first round, while St Bernard’s has a bye and will host the winner of Mendocino and Rincon Valley Christian at 4 p.m. Friday.

In softball, meanwhile, Del Norte has a bye and will host the winner of Ursuline and Marin Catholic at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, while Arcata will play San Marin at San Marin High School at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

In the Class B bracket, Ferndale and Hoopa both have byes, with Ferndale hosting the winner of Rincon Valley Christian and College Prep Wednesday with the time to be announced and Hoopa hosting the winner of Tomales and Head-Royce at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
