Bernice Lee Torrison was born August 15, 1923 in Kentucky to Earl and Cloteel Radford. She passed away May 14, 2008 at her home in McKinleyville, surrounded by her loving family.

Bernice’s first love was her family; she also loved gardening and her orchids. She loved to watch baseball, especially the Giants, her favorite team.

Bernice is survived by her daughters, Ellen Adamson and Rebecca Simpson and sister, Evelyn Sarantopoulous; grandchildren, Lisa Marriott, Lesley Tedder, Mark Bowers, and Seth Simpson; greatgrandchildren, Phedon Moser, Shane Bowers, Bobbie Tedder, Cassandra Tedder, Teirney Adamson, and Chance Marriott; and her nieces and nephew, John Tenbruck, Joan Curci, and Bonnie Brewer.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and brother, as well as her husband, Emil Torrison.

At Bernice’s request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Humboldt. Arrangements under the care of Paul’s Chapel in Arcata.
