Jack Richard Sanderson Jr. was born on August 3, 1947 and passed away on May 2, 2008 with his wife by his side. Jack was preceded in death by his daughter Sadie Vi Sanderson, mother Violet Sanderson, grandfather Grover Cleveland Sanderson, and grandmother Lucille Sanderson.

Jack is survived by his wife Pamela Sanderson of McKinleyville, father Jack Sanderson Sr. of Sacramento, brother John Randy Sanderson of Seattle, brother Ronald Grover Sanderson of Hoopa, sister Kate, and granddaughters Angelina, Lisette, and Joy.

Jack is a member of the Karuk tribe and proudly passed his heritage on to his daughter and granddaughters.

Jack was a U.S. Marine. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and he is veteran of the Vietnam War with a tour of duty in 1965 through 1967. Jack served his county with pride.

Please join us for a celebration of life in Orleans on May 23, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Orleans Karuk Council. This will be followed by a military service at the Orleans cemetery. Honorary pall bearers are Ronald “Turtle” Sanderson, Brials McCutchseon, Jim Jennings, Gary Albers, Longgone McCovey, and Barry Mc Covey.
