The Humboldt County Elections Office released a post-election update of the June 3 primary Monday, which included a count of absentee ballots.

Third District supervisor-elect Mark Lovelace scraped by with less than 1 percent more than the 51 percent required to prevent a runoff.

In the 4th District Democratic Central Committee race, Bob Service overtook Jake Pickering by 14 votes to join the other three candidates elected to the committee.

Registrar of Voters Carolyn Crnich said the election will be officially certified July 1. She said the Elections Office doesn’t expect much deviation between these results and those certified in July.
