The College of the Redwoods Foundation has announced that it has more Enrollment Scholarships available for the 2008 fall semester. Last year, CR created a new initiative in order for up to 100 students to receive scholarships which will waive their first-semester enrollment fees, which are $20 a unit. The scholarships can save a student up to $300.

The only requirements to be eligible for the scholarship are that one must live within the CR district boundaries and be a full-time student, meaning he or she must take at least 12 units. Students who qualify for California resident tuition rates under Assembly Bill (AB) 540 may also qualify for this scholarship.

For information about the CR Enrollment Scholarships, phone Susan Wiegman in CR’s Scholarship Office on the main eureka campus at 707-476-4191.

The scholarships are available throughout the CR District, which includes the Fort Bragg, Crescent City and main Eureka campuses as well as the Hoopa, Arcata and Downtown Eureka instructional sites. The Enrollment Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
