A 5-year-old Puli named Harry Potter races through the obstacle course at the Ferndale Fairgrounds, Monday morning during the Lost Coast Kennel Club’s AKC Dog Agility Trials.

In addition to local dog owners, the competition also included several participants from Nevada and Oregon. During the trials, dogs compete in several timed trials and are judged on speed and their ability to make a clean run of the obstacle course with their trainer. For more information on upcoming Lost Coast Kennel Club events, visit www.lostcoastkennelclub.org. The next scheduled competition, the CPE trials, will be held Aug. 16 and 17 at the Babe Ruth Fields adjacent to Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. Daniel Solomon/The Eureka Reporter
