$200,000 solar energy project installed

If the energy that was generated from a school full of children was able to be harnessed, it would probably be enough to power a whole city. Since that technology has yet to be mastered, Freshwater School is one of several local schools who took advantage of utilizing the sun’s energy to help power its school.

EXCEL After School hosts community garden day at Fortuna Middle School

EHS Safe & Sober committee gears up to give 2008 grads a fun and safe place to celebrate

It is expected that 320 students will graduate from Eureka High School this year. Since 1989, the Safe and Sober Celebration has offered graduates a safe way to celebrate their achievement, a news release stated.

Sunny Brae students help others

Sunny Brae Middle School students have played a few different roles in the past month — working as Cupid and Easter Bunny helpers. While they had fun doing it, the real joy came in giving to the community, when they delivered hundreds of dollars to the American Heart Association and nearly a hundred Easter baskets to children in need.
