A Day to Remember — Brannen and Allina

Brannen Sorem and Allina Bryan, both from McKinleyville, were married in a small ceremony in Lake Tahoe, Calif. Bran is a freelance Web programmer, and a student at College of the Redwoods and Foothill College. Allina is a nursing student, in her second year at Humboldt State University. She also works part time at Mad River Birth Center as an aide. They live in McKinleyville and have a beautiful beagle named Belle. During their free time, they enjoy walking Belle on the Hammond Trail, going to movies and spending time with friends and family. They plan to take a road trip to Vancouver this summer for their honeymoon.

Natalie Carlson is the daughter of Ron and Cindy Carlson of Arcata. Ryan Carrigan is the son of Steve and Kelley Carrigan of Woodland Hills, currently residing in Arcata. Natalie is the branch manager of Wells Fargo in Eureka.  Ryan is also employed in the financial industry. They enjoyed their honeymoon in beautiful Cozumel, Mexico.

The Bride and Groom Sarah Matthias and Robert Acorn were married on June 30, 2007 at 3 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Eureka. Sarah is a 2002 graduate of Eureka High School and is currently employed as a multiple lines insurance representative at State Farm Insurance. Robert is a 2000 graduate of Arcata High School and is currently employed at Humboldt Beer Distributors as a salesman/driver. The couple took a week-long honeymoon in the Riviera Maya, Mexico following the wedding. Sarah and Robert currently reside in Eureka.

Lauren Herman, daughter of Tom and Kellie Herman of Hydesville, and Wesley Stroud, son of Vicki and Doyle Stroud of Red Bluff, were wed on Oct. 6, 2007, outside of Red Bluff, Calif. The couple live in a small town in the San Joaquin Valley where Lauren is a high school agriculture teacher and Wes is an environmental planner for Caltrans. After their wedding, they flew to Maui, Hawaii, for six days where they enjoyed the outdoors and each other.
