Arcata Youth Protection Act eligible for November ballot

The prohibition of military recruitment of youth under 18 could soon become law in Arcata. The Arcata City Clerk certified a petition Wednesday which qualifies placement of the Arcata Youth Protection Act on the November ballot.

Arcata Youth Protection Act moves forward

Supporters of the “Arcata Youth Protection Act” gathered at Arcata City Hall Tuesday to submit signatures, signifying the next step in the process of getting an initiative placed on the November ballot.
