Belant trial date set

A trial date for Andrew Belant, a 25-year-old man accused of molesting four boys, is scheduled for Dec. 1. On a related note, a motion he filed to have evidence seized by authorities returned, was denied on Wednesday by Humboldt County Superior Court Judge W. Bruce Watson.

Accused teacher pleads not guilty, changes attorneys

Matthew Davis, the former Boy Scout assistant leader found guilty of child molestation charges was sentenced to five years and eight months in prison Tuesday, to the dismay of the victims’ family.

‘Fatal funnel’ for law enforcement in Cheri Lyn Moore stand off
