July 27 From 2-4:30 p.m. on Sunday the Ma-’e’l Dunes Guided Walk, “The Dance of the Dunes,” with naturalist Susan Penn will take place. Visit the new unit of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge and learn about native wildlife. Meet at the Ma-le’l South parking area off of Young Lane in Manila to carpool to the northern protected site. July 26 There will be a Lanphere Dunes Restoration with Friends of the Dunes on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Help the Dune Ecosystem Restoration Team rescue native dune habitat at the Lanphere Dunes unit of the Humboldt Bay Natioanl Wildlife Refuge.
