Wiggins bill aims for reliable telephone service

The California Assembly voted 71 to 5 Monday to approve Senate Bill 780, legislation by state Sen. Pat Wiggins, D-Santa Rosa, to continue funding for affordable, reliable telephone service for Californians living in high-cost or rural areas, a news release from Wiggins’ office stated.

Hackers access senator’s account, send fraudulent e-mail

Unknown individuals successfully hijacked the personal e-mail account of state Sen. Pat Wiggins, D-Santa Rosa, and distributed a fraudulent appeal for financial assistance before the bogus messages could be stopped, a news release from Wiggins’ office stated.

State Senate bill would help protect parklands
